We offer marine gasoline outboard and inboard engine service and repair. We can come to your vessel's location or you can bring your boat or engine to our shop located in Jupiter, Florida. I am factory trained in Yamaha, Mercury / MerCruiser, Evinrude, and Honda marine engines.

I use the lastest in diagnostic software, diagnostic tools, infrared thermal imaging, and up to date training techniques in service, inspection, troubleshooting, and repair of marine engines. I only use genuine factory parts on the marine engines that I service and repair. I conduct my service and repair services with integrity keeping you updated with the status of the service or repair and will never unnecessarily charge or conduct any service or repair that is not needed. Because of the ethics that I adhere to with the Society of Accredited Marine Surveyors, I can not perform engine service or repair work on the same vessel that I perform any survey on under the same owner or buyer. 


Below are some of the diagnosing procedures, findings, and repairs from previous engine work that I have performed in the past: 


Compression testing of a Yamaha F350 outboard engine during an engine survey

Using an oscilloscope to search for corrupted data in a NMEA 2000 digital data network

A bad exhaust valve (above in the white colored valve face) from corrosion around the valve seat. The valve overheated due to the valve not being able to seat properly causing overheating of the valve. Found by compression testing and verified with a leak down test before disassembly 

Corrosion from sea water and wet-exhaust that leaked back in to the cylinder of a MerCrusier engine due to a leaking exhaust manifold gasket


A piston rod that came through the aluminum block of a Suzuki outboard engine from sea water hydro-lock when the captain was running at cruising speed and immediately backed down the engine (throwing the engine in reverse without going to neutral first)

Measuring the piston skirt of a piston down to a thousandth of an inch to determine the amount of wear during the re-build of a Mercury outboard engine


Removing the cam shafts of a Yamaha four stroke outboard engine to properly measure the cam shafts and valves for excess wear

Testing the ignition system using a high current shunt on a Yamaha F115 outboard engine


A leak down test being performed on a Yamaha outboard engine due to lack of performance issues

Servicing a Teleflex / Seastar manual hydraulic steering system with a 12 volt "Power Purge" tool used and recommended by the manufacturer to service their steering systems
